SUMMARY:Silk Painting Workshop with Aysha Yilmaz
DESCRIPTION:MAFCFEST presents a creative session with Aysha on silk painting! \nIn this workshop\, motifs and designs from The Silk Road ( Iran\, Uzbekistan\, Turkey etc) will be used to produce a Silk Painting. \nAysha will demonstrate how to apply the design to the Silk fabric from a drawing\, followed by techniques of filling in with Silk paints. \nA briefing will be given by Aysha on how Silk is produced and its origins. She will also touch upon the origins of the motifs used. \nThe workshop will be in the Performance Space in Central Library.
