Clare Shaw’s third collection\, Flood\, offers an eye-witness account of living through the 2015 flooding of her home town Hebden Bridge\, interwoven with more intimate poems chronicling the breakdown of a relationship – themes of loss\, destruction and recovery are explored in a language as dangerous and sustaining as water.
