I live in Manchester and work in Salford\, having lived for nine years in Liverpool. I love Manchester and Liverpool equally although I still have mixed feelings about Salford. I am teacher and a mother of two children\, I am also a bit of a bitch\, but only when it is strictly necessary. \nI read my poems out loud occasionally although mostly I like to hide behind a screen. Most of my writing is observational which probably shows a great lack of imagination. I can also be found in the Whalley Range and Chorlton areas of Manchester generally hanging around and looking pretentious; most often whilst being judged by my children. \n\nBook your open mic slot from noon on Tues 12th April via mail@flapjackpress.co.uk\nNB Open mic slots are 3 minutes per performer\nPerformance slots are allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis from the stated booking day\nIf they are already filled you will be offered a space on the reserve list \nFREE EVENT – EVERYONE WELCOME!
