DESCRIPTION:Book Launch: Like Never Before by Alistair McGowan. \nMonday 13th July\, 6.00pm – 7.15pm. \nDoors open 5.40pm and free entry. \nComic\, poignant\, and observational\, Alistair’s new poetry collection embraces the theme of a changing world – linguistically\, politically\, and environmentally – and the changes we all experience as we age. This is Alistair – like never before – commenting on a world that is accelerating like never before. \nAlistair McGowan is best known for his impressions\, winning a BAFTA in 2003 for his BBC One series The Big Impression. He has also worked as an actor\, regularly on radio\, occasionally on television\, and nationwide on stage (being nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance as The Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors). \nAlistair has written his own stand-up comedy throughout his 35-year career. He also wrote the stage play Timing (nominated for best new comedy in the WhatsOnStage Awards)\, and three Radio 4 plays about composers Erik Satie and John Field and the first performance of Pygmalion.
