DESCRIPTION:On 4 June 1976\, the Sex Pistols played for the first time in Manchester at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. The gig is seen as the catalyst for the Manchester music scene which followed. Paul Welsh was the only person there on the night taking photographs\, which have since been sold world-wide through Getty Images. This three part event will cover: \nKeynote speaker: Wayne Hemingway MBE- Is vintage more sustainable? \nOur keynote speaker and special guest is Wayne Hemingway MBE from Hemingway Design. Wayne started his fashion career by selling items from his wardrobe at Kensington Market\, and went on to co-found Red Or Dead. In 2010 Hemingway Design created their annual “Vintage Festival”. He is one of the UK’s most notable designers and we are thrilled to welcome him back to the BIPC Manchester. \nFuture Past – Selling on socials: Becky Chorlton from Becky’s Bazaar \nBecky Chorlton started her successful online business Becky’s Bazaar to supplement her student income.
