‘My experience of working with Vivienne Westwood remains a rare and significant chapter in my photographic journey. It revealed a powerful connection between fashion, culture, inclusivity and protest. It also showed me how someone from the world of fashion could step outside that world and stand shoulder to shoulder with people fighting for something they believed in.
These unseen photographs are therefore more than a record of Vivienne Westwood at Preston. They are a record of connection — between an individual and a community, between fashion and protest, and between a photographer and the people he is there to document.’
