Mozambique Through the Stories of Paulina Chiziane

Join the Círculo de Leitura da Comunidade da Língua Portuguesa em Manchester for a special reading and cultural session exploring Mozambique through the work of award-winning Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane.

Using O Alegre Canto da Perdiz as the main reference, we will explore Mozambique through literature, stories and conversation, discovering aspects of the country’s history, culture, traditions, identity and social realities.

You do not need to have read the book to join in. Other works by Paulina Chiziane are also welcome as starting points for the conversation. Come along with curiosity and discover Mozambique through its stories, readings and shared experiences.

The session will include shared readings, conversation and interactive activities, creating a welcoming space for readers and anyone interested in discovering more about Mozambique and its literature.
