Morning Music Performances

We will be joined by two very different local artists for some short musical performances. One is a young acoustic guitar student working toward grade exams, who will give her first live performance ever. The other is an experienced composer of experimental rock/pop music, an enthusiastic live performer and a library regular:

Steve Manning aka Jupiter Canal System, or JCS for short, is a songwriter who lives in the heart of Cheshire. His craft is heavily influenced by his love of the New Wave era of the late 70s and early 80s, often paying homage to the aggression of The Jam, the controversy of The Stranglers and the wit of XTC. Despite trying to sonically replicate the genre, Steve does try and remain original with his song writing, especially lyrically and melodically. He is currently working on his 5th album and today he will be singing along to backing tracks which he has recorded and produced himself.
