New Zealand author, Heather joins Manchester Literature Festival to discuss the heart-breaking sequel, Cilka’s Journey.
After the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Cilka is charged as a collaborator and sent to a Siberian prison camp. Helping to tend to the ill, Cilka falls in love, finding hope in the darkest of situations. Cilka’s Journey considers the resilience of humans when confronted with death and terror.
