Joseph Dawson and Cristo Harijan would like to welcome you to an afternoon of folk-inspired suites for cello and piano from some of Europe’s greatest classical composers, all drawing upon traditional music of their respective nations.
Featured are exquisite arrangements of popular folk songs from England, France and Spain, as well as music directly inspired by the form and character of German Folk.
Violist Jerome McGuinness will make a guest appearance performing Vaughn Williams’ ‘Six Studies in English Folk Song’ alongside Cristo.
